Serving Charlotte Metro, NC
The part behind the door

Framing repair, so the door has something solid to hang on.

A door can be perfect and still not seal right if the jamb behind it is rotted, out of square, or was never framed for the door in the first place. We rebuild the opening so the door actually fits it.

What's included

Framing

  • Rotted jamb and header replacement
  • Squaring an out-of-plumb opening
  • Reframing for a wider or taller door
  • Trim and flashing to keep water out going forward
  • Paired with install or replacement, or on its own

Rotted garage door framing repair Charlotte NC
Rotted framing found during a quote, rebuilt before the new door goes in.
Good to know

If we find a pre-existing framing problem while quoting an install or repair, we'll quote that fix separately before we start — nothing added to the job without you knowing first.

Questions we get

Straight answers.

How do I know if it's a framing problem and not the door?+

Signs include daylight around the closed door, a door that binds on one side, or a jamb that's visibly rotted or soft. If we spot a framing issue while quoting your job, we'll price that fix separately before any work starts.

Can framing be fixed without replacing the door?+

Often, yes. If the door itself is sound, we can rebuild the opening around it.

Does framing work delay the door install?+

It adds time up front, but it's the difference between a door that seals right and one that never quite does.
